''STUCK WITH FACETIME IS NOT THE SAME AS BEING IN SOMEONES COMPANY"

26TH MARCH
BA1 1QR
For these photos I wanted a mostly plain background to give a slight contrast to previous nature filled photos.
I planned to have a nice cream stone background which was part of baths newer collection of buildings.
Unfortunately I hadn't realised a road had been opened up in the alleyway so to avoid being run over I had to make do with the surrounding area.
Saying that though I generally find focusing less and less on the scenery and more on the actual person. As I shoot at a large aperture for the most part( occasionally stretching down to a f.5-f.7) the background is blurred anyway so with this project I don't see it as a vital thing to really chase after.
As per usual I shot with my Sony A7r2 and 50mm lens.
All I aim is for these photos to be raw, real and have a story behind the people in them.

I feel I achieved this in these photos and I enjoyed the little detail in the background of the closed sign as I thought it added relevant context to the present.
To edit these photos all I did was enhance them in the wix editor. Im really not big on editing and sometimes find theres a certain threshold with too much photoshop- its very easier to go crazy and have your photos looking over- enthusiastic and un- realistic.
Catching up with Will was always a pleasure and it made me wonder if we would have ever properly caught up as we both have busy lives- with Will having a full time retail job and before COVID I rarely saw him outside work even when I left the job.
