These images where taken all in bath college- I shot some on the top floor where there was a array of plants by the window. Then I moved to the second floor for a studio- esc white background, after this I tried to take some images using the mirror in the left to create a distorted effect.

However this proved more difficult than it seemed! Especially as I dont shoot with zoom lenses anymore ( to avoid compromising quality ) it takes away some freedom and desires more leg work to be involved. Failing at getting any images up to my standard in the lift I moved onto the bathroom mirrors and did some shots in the stalls. The lighting was amazing in the toilets- so bright and white and I believe my photos came out succesfully as they where aided by this.

I wanted to include Yaz and Holly into this project not just because they where my college friends but they where also friends I grew closer to over the past year. This was down to many factors but having college closed made me yearn for it and when it opened up again I became even more grateful for one my education and also the chance to spend time with my friends. Also because colleges where one of the places that opened way before pubs etc and also where open in times where nothing else was the place has really resonated as a place of comfort and a form of socialisation.

I feel my work flows really nicely with this as after having pictures outside this integrates well with a post lockdown world.

On the day I started with my 35mm lens but due to not enough space to move in the corridor it proved hard to capture the style I was after. So again I'm repeating myself with the classic line across my website - "I used my Sony a7R2 with my 50mm lens" I kept the aperture low as especially with two subjects I like having one slightly more in focus otherwise when everything is completely clear I feel it looks like its been taking with a IPhone camera. To edit all I did was turn up the sharpness to improve some out of focus details and again enhance the images on the six editor.

Im still a work in progress and I will continue at getting better and faster with my camera to constantly improve my photos.
